About tray icons, it will be at some point essential to support such new
interface standards. I feel this "side drawer" in this particular form may
be a bit unintuitive. Eventually there could be a solution that directly
fits into the existing GUI approach, e.g. having the last icon and "drawer"
as a dynamic list of current tray icons, the main icon could show the last
selected icon.
Another approach which could eventually fit well, would be to show the tray
icons on the desktop as individual items, similar to iconized apps.
