I've revised the BIOS setup of my Adaptec card and this is how it looks:
ID 6 (Yamaha CDR400t) All others
Sync transfer rate (MB/s) 5
160
Initiate wide negotiation NO
YES
enable disconnection YES
YES
Send start unit command NO
YES
I'm no SCSI guru, is this 'enable disconnection' what you're talking about?
If this is the case, then it's on for all targets. If this is not the case,
I wonder if i can tweak any other parameter of my SCSI bus configuration.
Also, I don't happen to see this kind of errors when i write data, it just
happens with audio.

Any suggestion about this? I remember buying a long time ago a fake CD with
a brush sticked to it, and a liquid for use with a bad CD-reader that would
refuse to read home written CDs. Is this the right thing to do or is it any
other, 'cleaner', way? I would not like to make damage to my CD writer.
And still, is there a way to do a 'blind' copy of a SCSI device?
Will dd (sdd) or readcd work with an audio disk?
I know that this can be done in the Macintosh, using Adaptec's Toast. You
can even 'blind' copy a hard disk onto a CD if it's less than 650 MB.
Thanks for your reply, Jorg.
And thanks everybody else in advance for your help.
