Hi.
I was running the linux benchmarks for years until it go
boring. Used to be a SCSI man, but after reviewing
a zillions of benchmarks, found that EIDE is plenty fast
enough for most all applications, cheaper, easier to
install, no termination hassles and kernals never panic
due to SCSI driver errors.
In short, EIDE is great and I prefer it; but for years
would have argued until I'm blue in the face for SCSI.
However, I like systems to be very reliable, SCSI is
more expensive and less reliable for the average user;
and for these masses of users, the performance gain
is either zippo or neglible.
