Hi!

I fully understand your point. I started my move from complete IDE to
complete SCSI few months ago when I bought Tekram U2W SCSI controller and
Plextor SCSI burner. Now I have just ordered a new SCSI HD. I still have 2
IDE HDs and one ATAPI CDROM drive. My move from IDE to SCSI won't happen
fast, but I cannot afford to change all my IDE stuff to SCSI at once. But
if I hadn't bought that SCSI controller in the first place, my movement to
SCSI wouldn't have started at all yet. So, go for the controller and be
sure to check Tekram controllers also. They provide pretty much the same
performance as Adaptec but the price is about 1/3 lower.
