I was excited to hear that the newest version of cdrecord handles 
Panasonics, but we still seem to be having trouble.

I can't seem to enable packet mode and SAO modes don't seem to be 
supported.

Model and error information included below...

Joerg, we could possibly arrange ssh access to this machine if it would 
assist in development.
