Hello! Didn't I read something in the releasenotes that this version fixed a bug with a loop occuring with some drives?
It seems this is exactly what's happening with my Plextor PX 504A(Firmware 1.01). [SuSE Linux 8.2 with default Athlon-kernel, VIA-KT266 chipset] When I start growisofs I don't get any output and the drive isn't accessed, the whole thing just waits for CTRL-C. Version 5.5.x is just now burning along happily in the background. btw. cdrecord-proDVD doesn't work with this drive too, I get an error when it tries to read the disc structure.
