Updated version, 5.9.x is available for download. Beside this Plextor work-around this version also addresses couple of problems specific to SONY units: - provides a way to manually engage DAO in DVD-RW context, earlier SONY firmware make it impossible to determine if DAO is the only option and engage it automatically; - fixes the problem with DAO hanging early if buffer is larger than 2MB (brown-bag bug:-), SONY units have 8MB buffer; Next item in to-do list is support for DVD+MRW.
