I thought the common knowledge was that GWB was a diplomatic disaster and that with Obama's sophisticated world view and diplomatic finesse bolstered by his personal charm America's place in the world would quickly improve. That seemed to be the view of some in this forum. I mean, the guy is brilliant! The opposite might prove to be true. I don't think Obama is quite living in reality (although I am sure he's learning that by now). He's not up for the job, period.
