One thing is for sure, during the 2008 campaign the Obama team had
expert marketers working for them. Not that marketing can play the
exact same role as part of governance, but marketing as such seems to
be AWOL as an Admin function. Why ? Seems strange.

A very good analysis. I don't know if any of them are "true", but that is
more-or-less beside the point; they have enough contact with reality that if
things go badly (as they seem to be at the moment) these stories will gain
traction.
