Yep. There's actually far less static on this list. A lot of people have
stopped responding to help requests on the cf-talk list altogether. Make
the mistake of posting a question in the evening and it's very likely to
go unanswered, as the next day's list traffic burries it. I think at
least one or two more CF lists would be welcome. To say I just glance at
the list subjects now would be a gross understatement. Every once in a
while something may catch my eye and I'll respond.
Seeing the discussions yesterday about hardware system tuning, I think a
good addition would be a cf-admin list for system administration and
server issues. Most people on the cf-talk list are programmers, so they
probably have little interest in those threads. Similar topics relevant
to an administration list are system security, mail server software, web
log analyzers, system monitoring tools, DNS issues, all of which
invariably make it (with or without the little OT:) onto the main list.
