Maybe it is time for a better list than cf-talk. Perhaps a webbased
submission form with categories to pick from would help with subject lines.
Maybe kicking people off the list when they are
rude - or banning their posts for a week. Maybe there could be a training
period before you could post. Maybe don't let people into a list unless they
are invited and vouched for by another
member as CF Guru does. >>

Michael, your analogy to "sprawl & crawl" as I'm sure you've heard it called
in the DC area is an excellent one. But as a brand new user of CF-Talk I
worry about movement toward making it "exclusive," like making someone vouch
for a newbie. I asked a question there yesterday & got VERY valuable
answers. Have to go back again today or Monday 'cause another problem that
came up stumped me further ... thank God there is a place I can go.

I think dividing the subject matter more finely is the best suggestion we've
seen yet. The whole discussion of the cost of a server farm is utterly
beyond me! So for now I wish it were more about tags & such. But I might
get there someday & want to subscribe to the admin list. I vote for that
idea, too. Anyone out there counting votes?

See ya' tomorrow at the CFUN!

:-)
