My prefect CF list would be one where the list subscribers are ALL of the
GURUs and ME. The gurus would be there to answer MY QUESTIONS.
Guess I'll have to settle for CF-Talk.
Actually, I don't think CF-Talk is as bad as some people make it out to
me. I've been on lists that are much worse.
One alternative -- though I don't think this interests Michael -- is to
leave CF-Talk untouched, but start a members only community where people
PAY for participation -- paid members get access to more topic specific
lists, more advanced help and other features that might be of interest to
die hard CFers.
This is what I did with one of my lists (for RVers) when it got to big and
it's proven to be a steady source of alternative income (members pay $10
per year).
If nothing else, charging $10 a year for this additional resources would
help defray the costs and help make it possible to compensate somebody for
doing most of the work, whether it be Michael or whomever.
