I hate to say it, but I think you hit the nail on the head here. In many
environments, conformity rates as high as trainability. If your past
doesn't show conformity, how will you deal with the new and different
things thrown at you on the job? I'm not saying this is how things
should be, just that this is a common motivator. In essence, will this
person "fit in?" Surveys demonstrate that to be the chief cause for
firings.
