Forgive any spelling mistakes that leave out the "w" or "e", since both
keys are acting a tad bit nasty. Time for a new keyboard, I suppose. Too
much Unreal Tournament/Asheron's Call wearing out that "w", heh.

Actually I was just responding to Ben's "medical reasoning" about
cancer/infection/whatver. I hav little problem with religion being the
basis of the decision. I was raised Methodist, and lean towards
Christianity, as a general rule, but I have developed a belief sysem all my
own that includes respct and acceptance of other beliefs (In fact, there is
a wonderful Indian gal that I work with that has exposed me to Hinduism,
which I find very interesting as well). Religion is still most imporant to
me and I wasn't slamming the Jewish faith by any means. :)

I don't remember raising that particular issue. I was just raising a
question about circumsising a non Jewish male just for the heck of it.
Sorry if I came accross that way. :(

I did ask why Jews do this, but only because I was genuinly interested in
the history of the practice, since I don't kno that much about Judaism, but
am always eager to learn.

While I still blieve in what science tells me (for the most part), I still
trust in something higher than myslf and science .. Faith is a wonderful
thing. :)

> the health reasons are not the reason we do it

The "health reasons" are crap! Heck .. women actually bleed every few weeks
... who knows what health risks that causes them! Let's help them out and go
in and cut out everything that causes it before it has a chance to happen ..
they will thank us for it, I'm sure ....

Sarcasm, yes ... point made, hopefully. :)

That is the (non Jewish) point that I was trying to make. :)

Shalom,

Todd
