Note..I made a point of PRIVATE email between individuals.

Not a message posted on a messageboard, but a message placed in an envelope and mailed
to a specific individual, or a call
placed to that individuals private phone, as opposed to shouted across a street with a
bullhorn.
Those are the analogies to the situation I described with a private email
correspondence.
Would you think the government has the right to open, photocopy your letter, and file
it away?
Or record the phone conversation you had and file it away for later reference if it
ever becomes necessary?

What about it? If I post a message on a real bulletin board (ie, the cork
board variety), there is nothing stoping anyone from 'saving' those messages
for years. Well, nothing but a life I guess.
