Lee,

IMHO, a lot of the other posts on this thread sound reasoned and reasonable.
Yours sound dogmatic.

This is not an issue of "one party is 200% right and one is 200% wrong".
You can't really believe that, can you?
'cause that's what you sound like.

May I respectfully request that you read Howard's and Eric's posts -
carefully?

Have a great day.

-Ben

Sure they are both guilty, but the Dems are far more likely to overspend and
propose goofy new programs. Clinton tried to socialize 13% of the economy
with his (her) medical proposal.

This is the Democrat party spew. Don't believe it. At this point, ANY tax
cut is better than no tax cut. At some point, taxes have to stop increasing.
Unless you are for bigger government and a slow road to socialism, all tax
cuts should be supported. When you cut taxes, spending needs to fall in
line. I'm all for cutting taxes first, and forcing spending cuts. If
Congress doesn't comply, they have to borrow to squander, which further
shrinks the pool of money they play with.
This current tax cut is based on an enormous tax surplus, real and projected
(they collected more than they planned to spend). Instead of immediately
giving the money back, the Dems started making spending plans. If you can't
cut taxes during a surplus, then when???? Gore ran with the promise to cut
taxes, so it's not some sort of right wing conspiracy (He would have never
done it of course, and spending would have increased dramatically).
