Isn't it even more intriguing the number of Interpretations there are for a work that 
is in and of itself..interpreted?

Hmm,  In my edition (Stone Edition) of the Torah, the translation reads:

Isn't it interesting how different translations change the meanings.  I
don't read the original Hebrew, so I can't comment on the translation.
