Ahh yes.  A pit is a smoker put made out of stone etc.  I think I saw one
in the airport in North Carolina.
It was NASCAR themed as well!

You don't want to grill ribs.  Well at least I don't want to grill ribs.  I
actually prefer broiled ribs that are then baked over grilled ribs, but
that is just me.

When I get my own home I want to but my own smoker and deep fryer.
Cook up 3 different types of turkey for Thanksgiving, baked, smoked, and
deep fried.

By the way, this is a nice little side dish for ribs, fried turkey and chicken.
Cut up some horse radish into cubes.
Pour enough vinegar into a bowl where the cubes are almost fully covered by
the vinegar.
Slice some onions in.  Mix in sugar to taste.

It should be very refreshing, cut the grease, and clean the palette so you
enjoy each bite of the meat.
