make a subtly different point, that at the time the United States
imprisoned hundreds of men solely for being Arab, some of them for
months. And yet it went out out of its way to make things convenient
for the bin Ladens.
The "but" I mentioned is in the voice of the Senator from ND. Was he
in fact saying, as the editing implies, that the bin Ladens left the
US while flights were suspended? I dunno but I do not see him
denouncing the film and claiming to have been misquoted. The articles
I have read on the fact-checking don't seem sure whether the bin
Ladens did or not. This is one of the few areas of uncertainty, along
with a lack of proof that Bush actually met as implied with members of
the Taliban when they were in Houston.
But if George Bush Sr was in fact at the Ritz-Carlton on 9/11 watching
the news coverage with Osama's brother, excuse me, but that is pretty
damning.
The most devasting charge however is that all of this, all the US
casualties, all the dead civilians, all of the perversion of America's
stature, is simply so the rich can get richer and that there has never
been another point.
That is why I won't let my daughter see it. Because I suspect that
this is true, and while she does too, she does not need at age twelve
to know yet exactly what horrors this means.
