attacks) had not happened.
What if we did nothing after 911?
As far as I am concerned, they decalred war first. And one can argue that
Sadaam is not in cahoots with Bin Ladin, but that is a matter of speculation
that I would tend more to believe.
Bush is just in a bad situation...damned if he does, damned if he doesn't.
I think that Wall Street is more to blame that anyone else and people like
the folks at Enron and Martha Stewart (hate to say it as I admired her as a
business woman) but people lost faith in corporate American and Wall Street
after those scandals and in my opinion, this added to the fall of the
economy more than anything esle.
Just my opinion tho.

But Bush hasn't done anything to make it better. He has no problem
asking for 80+ billion to restore a country that doesn't want us there
but he can't do anything for his own people. I don't think he cares if
anyone but him and his friends have jobs in this country.

I think it's unfair to blame the fall of the economy on Bush.
911 would have happened regardless of who was in office.

With me it was far more mixed. Last September the company I worked for
closed its doors. Of my 5 colleagues, I was the most fortunate, I
managed to find a contract job right away, and later this job. Of the
rest, one has completely left the job market, one just recently found
a job, and the remaining two are still looking.
I have managed to do better, but the rest obviously have not.
Are things better than 4 years ago, overall I'd say no.
