He just cares if "him and his friends" own all the companies that make all the jobs. And they will continue to move jobs overseas until these silly American workers learn to take whatever the owners want to give them, or face unemployment.
The economy is looking up (if you are at the top). The bottom is looking bleaker every day.
But that is exactly what the Republicans promised when the went into office. Why anyone is surprised is a mystery to me. All the breaks for business, none for workers or regular citizens.
This difference is exactly what the whole Reagan legacy is about. Reagan made the rich richer. He is looked on as a savior to them. But small fish like farmers aren't all that enamored of that legacy. If you got richer in the 80s, you are now a life-long Republican. If you got poorer in the 80s, you are a Democrat or Independent.

But Bush hasn't done anything to make it better. He has no problem
asking for 80+ billion to restore a country that doesn't want us there
but he can't do anything for his own people. I don't think he cares if
anyone but him and his friends have jobs in this country.

I think it's unfair to blame the fall of the economy on Bush.
911 would have happened regardless of who was in office.

With me it was far more mixed. Last September the company I worked for
closed its doors. Of my 5 colleagues, I was the most fortunate, I
managed to find a contract job right away, and later this job. Of the
rest, one has completely left the job market, one just recently found
a job, and the remaining two are still looking.
I have managed to do better, but the rest obviously have not.
Are things better than 4 years ago, overall I'd say no.
