Disguise yourself as a 40 year old black man and spend a month in any city
in America.
Apply for a job, home mortgage, apt, car loan, commit the same crime that a
white man has committed and see if the punishment will be equal.
See yourself on tv portrayed as the ONLY group of people who commit crimes
and try to raise your boys and girls with a good self-image.
Try not to commit crimes to put food on your table after not being able to
find a job because of the way you look.
Have people clutch their purses, get quiet when you get on an elevator, see
you walking in a parking lot and start walking faster.
Have your women exploited on tv as being sex objects and only sex objects.
See your wife and sisters beaten down everyday by what they have to
experience in corporate america TODAY just to keep a job.
Be talked down to like you're some second class citizen by some guy who is
your "manager" who is less smarter and less experienced than you, with you
not being able to retaliate because you will eventually lose your job.
Get up every morning and drive through your neighborhood and see crack
addicts and heroin addicts and remind yourself that your people don't bring
these drugs into your neighborshood and no one is stopping it.
etc. etc. etc. .
Document your findings and then come back and continue this conversation.
