boat. Jim, my experience along the Sault, Niagara and Thousand Island
bridges is that they do talk to every car. Fast, but they do. If you
wanted to avoid that you would not want to go by road.

Heck - I grew up in Tonawanda, right on the Niagara river. There's very
little stopping anybody from making illegal personal transfers from one
small fishing boat to another pretty much anyplace along the river (there
are many little islands, coves, docks and so forth and the river is very
narrow in many places).
The Niagara Falls border crossing is so densely trafficked (both foot and
car) that you could easily smuggle anything you like over relatively risk
free. They do check, don't get me wrong, but during the busiest times it's
only on the order of one car out of a thousand.
In any of these places you can be over illegally and buying a big gulp in a
matter of moments. No risk of death from drowning, exposure or mosquitos.
;^)
My opinion is that if somebody wants to get in, they're getting in.

Which way? Probably somewhere in BC or in Northwestern Ontario. Miles
and miles of bog and lake and not much else except ofr mosquitos.
Unless you're a local though you can die very easily in that area
though.
