Exactly, I've had the same experience.
That's the irony here - the religious right, and those who feel being
a lesbian is shameful, are the only people that would be offended by
mentioning a very public part of Mr. Cheney's campaign.
It's a great litmus test! If you find that comment "a dirty trick",
then you're probably offended by homosexuality. Personally I could
care less. I have a relative who's a lesbian and she's a VP at a
Fortune 500 company, her partner of 20+ years is a school teacher.
They pay taxes, keep a nice house, and are really fun to talk with -
the shameful horror.
