Define defense. Israel just went into (and out of) Gaza because it was under
continuous missle attack from terrorists in Gaza. The UN did not say
anything against the terrorists, but condemed Israel for defending itself.
This is the crux of my problem with the UN. It does not apply rules equally.

Why is this so? Because each country in the UN has it's own agenda and when
enough of them (the 50+ member Arab league) puts its foot down, it stops any
rational plan from happening. It's been how long and they still can't define
what terrorism is because of that group. The UN is a body of politics that
is bound to those politics to the detriment of other.
Just look at Sudan and the forces out to stop the UN from doing anything
there (the above mentioned group of 50+ is a start). Just look at the oil
for food slush funds given to the UN, France, Russia and others.
