You're right that Arafat wasn't honestly dealing and that Israel really made the effort. Realistically, from Israel's point of view, there's 2 "peace" strategies: 1.) Do as I've suggested and enter into a binding arbitration with an internationally elected panel. 2.) Do as they are: sacrifice some land, build a wall and hope for the best. My vote would be for the former as the latter has proven to be a historic failure.
