The wall has already been proven to have cut down on attacks. Yes, the wall
can be circumvented, but that's a rare event.

Friedman is a self important flaming bag of ass. He speaks his opinions and
ignores what he doesn't like. I can go on and point to lots of sites with
critical facts about him, but why bother. His opinion sits up as something
to be ignored.

Arafat is an opponent of peace and Israel has tried to politically isolate
him. Europe keeps breaking that isolation. 

The only way to truly isolate the opponents of peace (who happen to be the
ones launching missles as Israel) is to put 6 feet of dirt above them or
lock them up. Israel is doing both with Palestinian attackers and the latter
with their own (they have better control over their own population)
