Now I believe what Clinton was doing was working. He
had a mediator for the peace talks. It didn't stop the
violence but it slowed it down a lot and showed the
two sides they might be able to live together.
It was working for Arafat because he was making
millions. Unfortunately the Clinton term was coming to
an end with no deal signed. That's when he forced
their hands so he could win the Nobel Piece Prize.

Since Arafat had no intention of piece, once all his
demands were met he had no choice but to sign. He
instead chose the intifada.

I truly think Arafat had no intentions of peace but if
semi-peace had lasted a few more years maybe more of
the Palestinians would've ignored Arafat.
