I think quite far. The NKs have never accepted the UN imposed territorial waters borders and there's skirmishs there all of the time. I wouldn't be surprised to see NK launch a StS missile or 2 at the Americans. What would we do? We can't invade because we don't have the troops and we're afraid of their reaction; and we can't really bomb them because then they could legimately launch ICBMs or continue to harass our ships. The bottom line is I think they could kill a lot of people before the US would commit to all out war and then that would definitely kill a lot of people and we'd have to ignore the Middle East while we're doing it. Look at how many resources Hussein's 2 bit chop shop is using up.
