I like the Mach 3 as well. Recently (Halloween) I shaved my head. To maintain I use a Mach 3, no trouble at all. I use the same technique as Patrick minus the hot cloth (though that sounds interesting, I may try it).
FWIW, Mach 3 was the first "safety razor" that I didn't manage to mangle my face with. Two plus years and counting with no razor cuts and way less razor burn, too.
