I was at the store a few days ago and saw the latest version of that
razor - its battery powered.

As for shaving in general, you also need to look at what you're using
to shave with, shaving soap is almost the nastiest thing you can use.
It doesn't really lubricate. Wilkenson Sword (a British razor blade
maker) did an engineering study once on what was the best thing to use
when shaving. Overall an oil based product worked best and resulted in
the closest shave with fewest nicks etc. They recommended butter or
margarine. Initially I thought it was fairly warped but decided to try
it. It worked really well, but your really needed to do a good job of
cleaning your face afterwards.
