The first one did need to be pulled. It does make reference to her race in a derogatory manner.
The second....is racist how, please? I don't see any reference to race. Of course I maybe missing some subtext; I do at times, not being from a place where it's much of an issue. I looked for but did not find a picture that I saw this morning that didn't look much different. She looked about six and it annoyed me because like her or not, the woman *does* have a brain. Might have been the New York Times. If so it didn't make it into the paper edition.
