Interesting that the message of the first cartoon (Danziger's) - that Rice has changed her story about the Aluminum tubes - could easily have been portrayed without the Gone with the Wind, or Color Purple references. (the line is paraphrased from "Gone" but the pose is all Whoopi in "Purple") I think without the obvious racial stereotyping in the Oliphant cartoon (the exaggerated lips and teeth), he could have made the point that Rice is Bush's parrot in a less...umm...offensive way, too. Unfortunate that both had to resort to these representations. They both are capable of better. -- -- will "If my life weren't funny, it would just be true; and that would just be unacceptable." - Carrie Fisher ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Special thanks to the CF Community Suite Gold Sponsor - CFHosting.net http://www.cfhosting.net Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:136785 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=11502.10531.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
