Generally that sort of therapy doesn't work. I tried to do a
meta-analysis of conversion therapies several years ago then dropped
the effort About 80% of all the published studies were uncontrolled
case studies - not much better than anectdotes. Those that were actual
therapeutic studies were typically conducted so poorly that there was
no indication that anything really worked. I found maybe 2 or 3
adquately conducted behavioral studies that could almost have been
included, there was no followup. In general the few I found that were
good enough to be included in the analysis found no effect.

The National Association for Research and Therapy of Homosexuality is
if anything an ideological scam.
