I am not even sure the neighbors have internet. Thay probably have
cable though, hmmm :) Whatever it is, it's pretty slow and erratic.
I'd estimate the speed I was getting in there at 14.4 or less. I was
actually wondering if I might not be riding an alarm system or
something. The card driver also said I was not connected to the
internet, though evidently I was, since I was able to make the post
above.

What's the range of the average cable router?

The experience did inspire me to check here for a hot spot and sure
enough there is one, though this is not one of the restaurants that
advertises wireless access. There are three networks active here
though one of them is fading in and out. This is kinda fun :)
