Going to DevCon ... was a fine flying experience ... no problem through security, no problem with bags ... and other than they changed my flight time, it was still wonderfully easy to fly.
Coming back from DevCon ... First of all, the lines for the international security check appeared to be football fields in length .... The line for domestic security check - non-existant. Cool. Thought it was going to take a few seconds... Took apart my laptop, stuck everything on the belt ... but forgot to take my cell phone out of my pocket. Of course that set the bussers of. I was then wanded up and down, head to toe, back and front. Then, they didn't like the contents of my carry-on. <sigh> Escorted me to the table area ... armed guards strolling about ... and proceeded to search it piece by piece. <glad I didn't have any unmentionables in there!> So embarassing! Opened up EVERYTHING! The guy was very nice, and I understood why, and I was tons early for my flight, but it was still a little disconcerting.... having never been searched before. Anyways, of course I passed with flying colors, having left my knives at home ... :) And the rest of the trip was uneventful. Erika (with a *K*) Plunge boldly into the thick of life!
