I'm sorry - but this shows several misunderstandings about scientific theory and evolution. 1) Evolution is a scientific theory. I covered this earlier in the thread, but suffice to say this means that it not disputed as fact, only the detailed mechanisms. 2) Men did not evolve apes. Evolutionary NEVER makes this claim (although it is constantly made by its detractors). Rather men AND apes evolved from a single, common ancestor. This is a foundational element of evolution: speciation and diversity from common roots. 3) Scientific theories rarely "change" tremendously and then only with major proof. Rather theories (dare I say it) evolve. Ideas are improved to incorporate new evidence or situations but only incredibly rarely does a theory under go major revisions. I expand on this only because it seems a common defense to think "tomorrow science may change its collective mind". I hope you don't think that I am trying to "shake your religious beliefs". All I'm saying is that as it has no place in scientific exploration it has no place in scientific curriculum. It does, of course, have a place in the hearts of those faithful sitting in the classroom.
