News to me. The original was Hebrew which was taken to Greek, Latin, etc. There was no earlier mystery language and this is the first I've ever heard of it. As for canonization, that didn't take place till the 3rd century or so. I think the differences here are ones of Judaism vs. Christianity on Biblical origin, etc.
