There's an attachment to hook a keyboard and mouse up to the Xbox, but it doesn't work 100%. You could try that. I came from a totally PC based FPS environment myself, but I've adjusted to the Xbox and have no trouble with the controllers anymore :) The enemies in FPS on the Console, those that have been properly balanced, move slower and there are other aids such as a 'sticky' targeting reticule that 'locks on' to the opponent when you move it close. Little things like that to help compensate for the inaccuracy of the thumbsticks.
