I'd have to agree, Halo2 is great. Only got my Xbox for christmas as well
and had a little difficulty adapting the controls (many years of PC FPS
action as well!) but you do get used to it.

However, game I'm playing most of though is Burnout3, though that might be
because my girlfriend wants to play as well and she's good at crashing cars
;)

Not going to be on Xbox Live for a while though, don't think I'm going to be
allowed to have a 10m patch cable running down the stairs! LOL

Paul, if you are not just wanting FPS games, then I suggest checking out
Soul Caliber 2. Fantastic fighting game and you can pick it up at budget
price.

Anyone played Fable? Looks nice but I haven't got it yet.

There's an attachment to hook a keyboard and mouse up to the Xbox, but it
doesn't work 100%. You could try that.
I came from a totally PC based FPS environment myself, but I've adjusted to
the Xbox and have no trouble with the controllers
anymore :)
The enemies in FPS on the Console, those that have been properly balanced,
move slower and there are other aids such as a 'sticky'
targeting reticule that 'locks on' to the opponent when you move it close.
Little things like that to help compensate for the
inaccuracy of the thumbsticks.

You have the best FPS shooter for any console with Halo 2.
'Stick' with it ^_^
