*shrug*

Plenty of help coming from other places.
Would the US ever accept help from Al Qaeda operatives in the event of a
disaster?

I'm sure the Sri Lankans see it the same way.
They accepted the food and medical supplies.

How devistating can it be when a country is willing to let it's people die in
order to play politics. These are human beings that
need help. A country is offering help. That help is being rejected.

Sri Lanka Rejects Israeli Aid Personnel

Despite diplomatic efforts to send a sizable medical team to Sri Lanka to
establish a field hospital to aid victims of Sunday's
earthquake and the resulting aftershocks and tsunamis, Sri Lankan officials
have rejected the Israeli aid and the end result will be
a humanitarian aid flight leaving Israel tonight carrying medications and other
required supplies, but no rescue personnel.

Even though Israel and Sri Lanka do not maintain diplomatic ties, following the
enormous tragedy that impacted the area, Israel
began making preparations to dispatch military and civilian personnel to the
area. Despite the staggering death toll and large
number of missing and injured, Sri Lankan officials are not willing to permit
an Israeli delegation to land.
