If that is true then Sony have messed up big time (again, I have no idea why
it still surprises me) because San Andreas will not play on a lot of the
older machines. We sold loads of copies when it was released and many came
back faulty, when we tested them on our test machine in the shop they worked
perfectly suggesting the customers PS2 was faulty, however we had a couple
of them bring their machines in and they played everything else just not
GTA. Consequently we have sold loads of new slim line PS2's to existing
owners just to play San Andreas.

If what you say is true it would seem that these people are going to have to
replace their new machines as well, well done Sony, sheer genius, thank god
I have an Xbox!

Don't play GTA: San Andreas with the new slim machines they will cause your
slim ps2 to overheat and die. I saw it reported on GTTV and in GMR that guys
that tried it caused their tiny ps2s to die. I thought it was just hype of
GTA until my friend tried it with his new slim ps2 and it died too.
