For what it's worth I feel the same way. You may call him blind, myopic, or
accuse him of selective believe and a one-track mind - but I really believe
that Bush believed in the existence WMDs.
This doesn't remove the mistake ("oops" is not a valid defense for going to
war), but I think the idea that he lied outright is just plain wrong.
Well... at least at first. I do think that he probably came to the correct
conclusion some time ago and prevented himself from knowingly lying by
simply trying to ignore the issue.
