Just curious - you do realize that a basic tenent of PETA is that pet ownership is equivalent to slavery, right? And that much of their energy is put towards boycotts and protests of pet-food/supply companies like Purina, Iames and Friskies? PETA is against ALL forms animal domestication whether you treat your pets well or not. In effect they say that domestication creates a subservient relationship between humans and animals and that while we should protect existing pets the entire practice should be "phased out". No offense, but PETA is one of those organizations that really get my goat. They get most of their money from pet-owning animal lovers, but are definitely not serving their needs. An organization against pet ownership should, in my opinion, as a matter of scruples not accept funding from pet owners.
