Depends. The definition varies from school to school. CIS tends to focus more on Analysis and Design / Architecture / Planning whereas CS focuses more on computer architecture, programming languages / algortihm design. > Therefore economics would have a place, especially viewed from a > management perspective. You could always do computer science at > Maryland... Some people do take that line of thinking... usually people who wished they could get a CS degree but bowed out and joined the business school instead... at least that's the impression I got. Maryland has an excellent program, I looked into it thoroughly and I will be going after a MS in CS from there as soon as I am done at Strayer. The MS from Strayer means something yes, but the program at UMD is much more geared towards what I want to learn. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Discover CFTicket - The leading ColdFusion Help Desk and Trouble Ticket application http://www.houseoffusion.com/banners/view.cfm?bannerid=48 Message: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=i:5:145416 Archives: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/threads.cfm/5 Subscription: http://www.houseoffusion.com/lists.cfm/link=s:5 Unsubscribe: http://www.houseoffusion.com/cf_lists/unsubscribe.cfm?user=89.70.5 Donations & Support: http://www.houseoffusion.com/tiny.cfm/54
