If you want to argue your hippie gas-guzzling thing, okay, at least you are standing up for something REAL. I won't say that your argument is worth a pile of beans, but at least you have a legit and intelligent argument to present. If you want to argue that they are "too big" (whiner!) and you can't "see around" them, then I can get on board with that, although I would have some arguments for that as well. (why do you really need to see around that SUV? why are you following SO DAMN CLOSE that you can only see the back window of the guy in front of you?) BUT - if you are trying to tell me that SUV's cause rollovers and accidents, you are 100% dead wrong in my eyes. SHITTY DRIVERS cause accidents, not the vehicles that they are in. If a 16 year old kid takes a sporty compact car and drives 120mph into a packed crowd of handicapped middle eastern lesbian exchange students, do they say "See? Those little cars are too fast! Ban them!"? No, they lock up the kid for vehicular homicide. It's the same for SUV's and trucks. The BAD DRIVERS are to blame, not the vehicle. Bad drivers put themselves in bad situations that they can't get out of, and that causes accidents. I will end with this, if it helps: There are TONS of people out there that don't know how to drive their SUV"s. But please don't blame the SUV itself. It's another innocent victim in the current popular American mantra: "It's not my fault! [insert whiny excuse here] was the reason I did it!"
