The race itself is for TV - unless you're really hard up, like out shopping
for furniture or wallpaper with your wife. :) I like to keep up with the
news, etc during the week. Now I suppose there will be jokes about that,
too. But, like I have told the 100 people who have ribbed me about my
NASCAR fetish my whole life - "If you're not a part of it, you won't
understand".

So, before someone else says the below:

1.) Yes, I LOVE watching cars going around in circles for 3 hours.

2.) Yes, they CAN turn right too.

3.) No, despite what you think, I watch the racing for the racing, NOT the
crashes. (crashes are cool, too, though)

4.) No, you don't have to be an alcoholic to watch NASCAR. Or have missing
teeth. Or chew tobacco, have inter-family sexual relationships ("bang yer
seester"), or be a blue-collar worker, or any of the other asinine
stereotypes associated with being a fan.

There, I think that is all of them. Feel free to add to it.

I like to get these out of the way when I see a "why is NASCAR so popular"
topics coming out of the woodwork. :)
