Even been to a DragonCon?  You'll hear plenty of elvish speakers.  ;^)

Tolkien used to meet people on the street that would converse with him in
elvish - he often signed copies of his books in elvish.  It's often been
said that he only wrote his books as vehicles to explain the evolution of
his invented languages.

As far somebody translating "Hamlet" to Klingon - why not?  People got time
in their hands and it keeps them off the streets.  It reminds me of those
guys doing the entire film "Star Wars" as animated ASCII art.

Personally I think both are kind of silly (copying source material rather
than the creation of something "new") but still...
