That's the best part for us government cynics: the Republicans and
their loudmouths like Rush, Bill, Sean, etc. have been preaching for
years about:

1.) Government discretionary spending,
2.) State's rights, and
3.) Activist judges.

And now they've shown absolute hypocrisy on every one. Now that we've
got a full Republican government we should be living in a
low-spending, local rights utopia but it's the exact opposite. As I
said in a previous post, I think we're seeing history here.

The big difference between Republicans and Democrats has always been
that Democrats were a collection of special interests whereas
Republicans shared a common ideology. What we're seeing is
Republicans fracture into separate special interests like the
anti-civil liberty people that favor revoking Schiavo's rights or
banning gay marriage.

Soon the Republican party will become unstable as Delay-like ethics
violations and Schiavo-like hypocrisy rupture it. Rush's numbers will
drop as the more reasonable listeners realize they've been listening
to propaganda that appeals to the worst in them rather than "the
truth".

We may even see a new party emerge from people like McCain or Schwarzenegger
