Here is a question for you. Something I am tossed up in the air on. I have a software application for which I sell and I offer upgrades based on the license purchased. Now the software is open source so you can make changes. However, if you make changes it can void the free upgrades. Upgrades are still provided and the customer can choose to implement them or not. I have a customer who purchased the open source and made updates to it. Now is asking for maintenance contract so when I do have updates they will send me their code and I can apply them to it. It is touchy cause I will have to re-evaluate their updates to apply mine. What would be a good place to begin in looking to charge for such a contract? The software sold at $225 but requested modifications so in the true end, they purchased it for almost $400. Now asking for a minatenance contract cause I just released an update. Minor update but required. THanks! ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~| Get help!
